This is it, the long weekend, the unofficial last big swing of summer before the pools drain and the school buses take the corners again.

PedalPGH, the region's biggest bike ride, rolls out of Allegheny Commons with routes from an easy family loop to a full metric century, on streets and bridges you rarely get car-free.

Steel City Horror closes the weekend at the Harris with a surprise scary movie nobody names ahead of time, host Sean Collier setting it up and Dr. Gielgud handing out in-theater scares. BYOB if you are 21.
